Trump’s Shocking Comments on Jimmy Carter’s Passing: Did He Really Say This?

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29 at the age of 100, left behind a significant legacy as the longest-living president in U.S. history.

During a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on April 17, Donald Trump commented on Carter’s passing and also discussed President Joe Biden. Trump suggested that Carter “di ed a happy man,” but his remarks were far from complimentary.

Trump took the opportunity to criticize the Biden administration, repeating false claims about the 2020 election and labeling the previous administration as “incompetent” and “useless.”

He then contrasted Carter with Biden, claiming that Carter was “the happiest man” because he was not considered the worst president in history, a title Trump attributed to Biden.

Trump had made similar remarks during Carter’s 100th birthday, stating that Carter was regarded as “brilliant” when compared to Biden. Although Carter was a Democrat, many Republican leaders set aside political differences to celebrate his milestone.

Carter was not shy about criticizing Trump during his presidency. In 2018, he called Trump a “disaster” in terms of human rights and equality. His wife, Rosalynn Carter, also criticized Trump’s dishonesty, stating that his lack of truthfulness was harmful to the country.

Carter continued to speak out against Trump’s “carelessness with the truth” in later interviews, advocating for honesty and integrity in politics.
