Prince William and Kate Skip Royal Easter Tradition for Secret Family Gathering—Fans Left Surprised!

Instead of attending the traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor, the Prince and Princess of Wales chose a more intimate celebration with close family this year.

William and Kate were seen at the 11 a.m. service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, accompanied by their three children — Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6).

The church, located near their countryside home Anmer Hall in Norfolk, offered the perfect setting for a peaceful holiday away from the spotlight.

Joining them were Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, as the family gathered for a quiet weekend of private festivities. According to onlookers, the Princess wore a long camel coat paired with a brown trilby hat, while Prince William kept it classic in a dark suit.

The family was handed hot cross buns by the vicar, Canon Paul Williams, as they exited through a private route, avoiding the large crowd of royal watchers hoping for a glimpse.

Anmer Hall, the couple’s 10-bedroom retreat gifted to them by the late Queen in 2011, has become their go-to escape from public duties. It underwent extensive renovations, with designer Ben Pentreath creating a cozy yet elegant home — one William once described as “very peaceful.”

Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla led the royal presence at the Windsor Easter service, joined by other senior royals. Lady Louise Windsor, however, was also absent, likely due to her studies at St Andrew’s University.
