Rob Lowe Hilariously Shuts Down Tour Guide Who Gets His Identity All Wrong

Rob Lowe had a humorous run-in with a Hollywood tour guide who confused him for fellow actor John Stamos — and he wasn’t about to let it slide.

In a video shared on Instagram, Lowe recorded a tour bus passing by as the guide confidently identified him as “John Stamos.”

Amused, Lowe approached the bus and playfully asked the passengers, “OK guys, am I John Stamos? Who am I?” The tourists quickly shouted back, “Rob Lowe!”

With a grin, the “West Wing” and “Parks and Rec” star jokingly called out the guide: “Dude, you gotta get better at your job!” The guide took the correction in stride, explaining, “It’s all about having fun. I didn’t expect to actually see someone!” and thanked Lowe for his “cool energy.”

Lowe, 61, and Stamos, also 61, were heartthrobs of the ’80s and ’90s. While Lowe is known for hits like The Outsiders and St. Elmo’s Fire, Stamos gained fame from General Hospital and Full House.

Adding fuel to the fun, Lowe’s son, John Owen, who loves to poke fun at his dad, responded to the video with: “The people have spoken.” He’s even joked for years that Stamos is his “real” father, editing old photos to swap their faces.

Stamos once joined the joke on The Drew Barrymore Show, pretending he and Johnny took a DNA test — before tearing it up and joking, “Burn this!”

Looks like Hollywood mix-ups run in the family.
