Joshua Jackson, known for playing Pacey Witter on *Dawson’s Creek*, recently shared where things stand with his former co-star and ex-girlfriend, Katie Holmes, who portrayed Joey Potter.
Appearing on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s *Dinner’s on Me* podcast, Jackson, 46, said, “Katie and I are very close.”
The two dated from 1998 to 1999. Since then, Jackson has welcomed daughter Juno with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith, while Holmes shares 19-year-old Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Jackson remains in touch with other *Dawson’s Creek* stars too, including Michelle Williams, Busy Philipps, and James Van Der Beek. “Busy and Michelle are very, very close,” he added.
While they don’t stay in constant communication, Jackson said that when they do reconnect, it feels natural and familiar.
He also spoke about supporting Van Der Beek, who is currently battling Stage 3 colorectal cancer. Although Jackson humbly admitted he wasn’t the one to organize help, the actresses rallied together for their former castmate.
Reflecting on their bond, Jackson said the experiences they shared while filming forged a lifelong connection, through ups and downs.
Meanwhile, Philipps has hinted that a *Dawson’s Creek* reunion could happen, despite scheduling challenges. Van Der Beek also recently shared how reconnecting with his former co-stars has been heartwarming after years apart.
The beloved ’90s teen drama left a lasting impact, both on the cast and the fans who followed Joey, Pacey, Dawson, and Jen through their coming-of-age journeys.
