Meghan Markle, during her first-ever podcast appearance as a guest, opened up about the emotional gift she plans to give her children, Archie and Lilibet, when they turn 18.

Speaking with IT Cosmetics founder Jamie Kern Lima, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she emails her children every night, sharing photos and cherished memories, which she intends to hand over to them when they are older.

The gesture, she explained, is meant to show her children just how much they are loved, ensuring they will know her deep affection for them as they grow older.

Markle, clearly emotional, explained how a friend inspired her with the idea of creating secret email accounts for children to receive photos and letters in the future. She described the emails as “time capsules” filled with everyday memories, report cards, and images that aren’t typically framed.

While discussing the significance of these nightly emails, Markle admitted that it wasn’t about making grand gestures, but about moments that nurture and validate her children.

As tears welled up, Markle expressed her pride in her children, praising their wonderful qualities. Her heartfelt words moved many, especially when she shared photos of Archie and Lilibet with their matching red hair.

Additionally, Markle dismissed rumors about a future in politics, saying she has no interest in running for office. Despite this, she made history in 2020 as the first royal family member to vote in a U.S. election.
