Mel Gibson Loses Everything in Wildfire – You Won’t Believe What Survived…

A fast-moving wildfire tore through Mel Gibson’s Malibu neighborhood, destroying homes, including his own $14.5 million estate.

According to the BBC, Gibson’s longtime partner, Rosalind Ross, and their 7-year-old son, Lars, managed to evacuate safely before the fire reached their property.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Gibson described the area as “on fire” and criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom’s response, joking, “I think all our tax dollars went to Gavin’s hair gel.”

The 69-year-old actor later confirmed with NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas that his home had been completely destroyed. “I wondered if my place was still there,” he recalled. “When I got back, it wasn’t.”

Gibson originally purchased the mansion in 2008 for $11.5 million. Though he had tried to sell the home in recent years, reducing the price by $3 million, the fire beat him to it.

The loss was personal. “There were photos, files, personal belongings… things I can’t replace,” he shared.

Despite the devastation, Gibson expressed gratitude for what matters most: “My family is safe and healthy. That’s really all I care about.”

He noted that others, including neighbors like Ed Harris, Paris Hilton, and Billy Crystal, may have also lost their homes. “It was totally burned out,” he said of his property, adding with dark humor, “At least I don’t have to fix the plumbing anymore.”

Gibson ended by criticizing leadership for their slow response, saying, “Kids are traumatized. Someone should answer for it.”
