Penn Badgley Shocks Fans with Truth About His Son’s Name — It’s NOT What You Think!

Penn Badgley is clearing up a long-standing misunderstanding about his 4-year-old son’s name. For years, fans believed the child’s name was James, thanks to misinformation on Wikipedia.

But during a recent appearance on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*, the *You* star clarified that his son’s name is not James — and never was.

Badgley explained that he and his wife, singer Domino Kirke, have tried multiple times to correct the error, but it keeps reappearing. Even people close to the family have sent cards addressed to “James,” assuming the internet was accurate.

Though he admitted it felt strange to address such a personal matter publicly, Badgley said he felt it was time to set the record straight.

While the actor corrected the false name, he chose not to reveal his son’s actual name to protect his privacy. “Because he’s four, his name will remain undisclosed for as long as we can,” he said, teasing that it’s “a good name.”

Badgley and Kirke married in 2017 and share their 4-year-old son, along with Kirke’s 16-year-old son, Cassius, from a previous relationship. The couple is also expecting twin boys this summer.

Reflecting on the upcoming arrival, Badgley expressed excitement and disbelief. “It’s thrilling,” he said, adding that the older kids are also looking forward to the twins.

The actor joked about becoming a father of four, saying, “I’m going to have to raise them!”
