The theme of this year’s Met Gala, *”Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,”* honored the impact of fashion on Black identity, and Berry’s look aligned with the celebration of bold, expressive style.

This appearance marked only her second time at the Met Gala. She first attended the prestigious event in 2017, wearing a revealing Atelier Versace jumpsuit that also made headlines.
