Demi Moore’s 1-pound chihuahua, Pilaf, may have been absent from the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, but the tiny dog still managed to steal the show with an adorable matching moment alongside her mom.

While Moore dazzled in a black and white sequined Thom Browne gown designed to resemble an oversized necktie, Pilaf sported her own miniature version of the tie, created by the same designer.

Moore’s gown, which took over 7,600 hours and included 1.4 million beads to make, was a showstopper, and Pilaf’s matching accessory added a whimsical touch to the ensemble.

Styled by Brad Goreski, Moore’s gown was a standout on the red carpet, with the designer creating a custom collar for Pilaf to complement her own little tie.

Moore’s gown wrapped around her head, making a bold statement at the event, and she accessorized the look with diamond earrings, cuffs from Shiphra jewelry, and pom-pom block-heel pumps from Thom Browne.

Though Pilaf didn’t attend the Gala in person, the pup has often joined Moore on the red carpet at previous events.

Moore shared the special moment on Instagram, with Pilaf’s account posting a picture of the duo, captioned, “mommy and me matching before #Metmonday!!” Fans showered the duo with love, with one fan even joking about who wore the outfit better.

The matching looks celebrated this year’s Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which focuses on the significance of style in shaping Black identities across the Atlantic diaspora.
