Richard Gere recently gave fans a glimpse into his family life by posting a rare photo on Instagram with his wife, Alejandra Silva, 42, and their two young sons, Alexander (6) and James (5).
The family was seen wearing matching “Open Arms” hoodies to show support for the humanitarian organization that helps refugees crossing into Europe.

Gere and Silva met in 2014 and married in 2018. Gere also has an adult son, Homer, from a previous marriage, while Silva has an 11-year-old son from her prior relationship.
The couple moved from Connecticut to Spain in late 2024, embracing their new life in Madrid, where they are involved in local charity work to combat homelessness.
Gere described their relationship as deeply connected, with Silva calling them soulmates sharing similar values. Silva praised Gere’s devotion as a father, highlighting his love for reading to their kids.
Though Gere doesn’t cook, he supports Silva by playing guitar while she cooks.

The move to Spain reflects Silva’s wish to return home and both their commitment to humanitarian causes.
Gere expressed excitement about raising bilingual children and embracing Spanish family traditions. Recently, they celebrated Gere’s first Spanish Father’s Day, a milestone Silva joyfully shared on social media.
