Lizzo Finally Reveals How She Lost 16% Body Fat Naturally — No Ozempic, No Shortcuts…

After months of speculation, Lizzo has set the record straight about her weight loss journey. The singer, 36, revealed during an Instagram Live session that she shed 16% of her body fat and lowered her BMI by 10.5 — without using medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro.

Instead, Lizzo credits her progress to mindful eating and calorie tracking. She emphasized the importance of avoiding sugar in the mornings and instead reaching for savory options like almond butter on toast.

“Everyone’s body is different,” she said, “but what works scientifically is calories in versus calories out.”

Lizzo admitted she used to drink up to three high-calorie Starbucks drinks daily, not realizing they added over 1,200 calories to her intake.

That’s when she decided to maintain a calorie deficit to counter her tendency to binge, although she noted calorie counting isn’t inherently healthy and sees it more as a strategy against the American food system.

She also pointed to stress and anxiety management as crucial parts of her transformation. Lizzo has cut out caffeine, practiced meditation, and embraced mindful solitude—not isolation from depression, but intentional breaks from distraction.

She shared that she used to rely on food, alcohol, and social chaos to cope, but now chooses self-focus instead.

Feeling “lighter” both physically and emotionally, Lizzo celebrated hitting her goal weight in January. Shutting down Ozempic rumors with humor, she even dressed as the drug for Halloween.
