Michelle Obama recently addressed rumors about marital problems with her husband, Barack Obama, in a candid interview on *The Diary of a CEO* podcast.
Laughing off speculation, Michelle made it clear that if there were any issues in their relationship, “everybody would know it.”
She emphasized that she would not keep quiet about problems, saying, “I’m not a martyr,” and joked that if they were struggling, her brother, Craig Robinson, would likely be podcasting with her about it.
She also made it clear that neither she nor Barack would ever give up on their marriage, saying, “That’s not who we are.”
The couple, who have been married since 1992 and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha, have long been admired for their strong bond.
Rumors about their relationship surfaced earlier this year when Barack attended public events like President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration without Michelle by his side.
Michelle, however, explained that her absence was a personal choice, stating that she felt empowered to prioritize her peace and well-being.
She also reflected on her life’s journey, saying that she has earned the right to make decisions based on how she feels rather than always doing what is expected of her.
Despite rumors, both Michelle and Barack have continued to publicly affirm their commitment to one another through social media and public appearances.
