Whoopi Goldberg made it clear she has no interest in discussing Meghan Markle on *The View*.

During Wednesday’s “Hot Topics” segment, the 69-year-old actress brushed off a conversation about Markle, 43, who stirred controversy by using her royal HRH title in a note sent to friend Jamie Kern Lima.

The note accompanied a gift and read, “With Compliments of HRH the Duchess of Sussex,” raising eyebrows since Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as working royals in 2020.

As the panel debated whether it was appropriate for Markle to still use her title, Goldberg sarcastically exclaimed, “Damn them!” and interrupted her co-hosts with a dismissive, “Wake me up when you’re done!”

She later added, “It’s the subject matter,” suggesting the topic simply didn’t interest her. When Joy Behar joked about boring her, Goldberg quipped back that she had just “woken up.”

Goldberg went on to say she found it more awkward that Lima chose to publicize the personal note. “If someone gives you a gift, you don’t need to share everything,” she said.

While Sunny Hostin defended Markle’s use of the title in private, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin found the move “cringe,” with Haines comparing it to a doctor insisting people call them “Doctor” in casual settings.

Despite the controversy, insiders say Markle’s use of her title wasn’t meant for public display and didn’t breach her agreement with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
