Vera Wang made a bold entrance at the 2025 Met Gala, looking nearly unrecognizable with baby bangs and oversized sunglasses.
The 75-year-old fashion legend arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, wearing a custom Vera Wang Haute gown that turned heads.
Her look featured a plunging neckline, an ivory Italian cupro jersey base, black feather lapels, and a gray feather-appliquéd skirt—perfectly blending elegance with drama.

Wang’s transformation comes just months after she debuted a shorter hairstyle at the 2025 BAFTA Awards in February. Known for her timeless beauty and daring fashion, she kept the signature sunglasses on once again, adding a mysterious flair to her appearance.
She was joined at the event by actress Keke Palmer, who also wore a Wang design. Palmer’s look—a white tuxedo-style gown—included a nod to Hollywood icon Dorothy Dandridge and honored the evening’s theme, *“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”*
In a red carpet interview, Palmer explained that the look balanced masculinity and femininity, while paying tribute to Black culture and its historical influence in fashion.

Wang is no stranger to the Met Gala red carpet, having previously styled stars like Ariana Grande, Janelle Monáe, and Selena Gomez.
Beyond fashion, she recently expanded her jewelry line with Jared, launching a collection of engagement and anniversary rings inspired by 1970s trends.
Once again, Vera Wang proved age is no barrier to reinvention and style, cementing her place as a fashion icon.
