George Clooney is celebrating an exciting chapter in his life—his 64th birthday and his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck.
The Hollywood icon and his wife, Amal Clooney, have temporarily relocated to New York City with their 7-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, while George stars in the stage adaptation of his 2005 film.
The show officially opened on April 3 and has already earned five Tony Award nominations, including one for Clooney’s performance.
To mark the occasion, the actor joined a Broadway tradition by playing in the Show League softball game, going up against the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The family has embraced their time in the city, enrolling the twins in a local school. Clooney recently shared in an interview that his children are curious, funny, and enjoying their new routine.
He added that his daughter loves emotional songs like Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For?, while his son is a fan of Batman and heavy metal singalongs during car rides to school.
George also received the honor of being added to Sardi’s legendary caricature wall—another milestone in this exciting chapter.
Though he’s spending his birthday performing in the show, Clooney said he and Amal are “having a really great time in life.”
Good Night, and Good Luck will continue its Broadway run through June 8, making this a season of both personal joy and professional success for the Clooneys.
