King Charles attended the premiere of *Ocean with David Attenborough* at London’s Royal Festival Hall, marking the end of a busy day that coincided with the second anniversary of his coronation.
The 76-year-old monarch, a long-time environmental advocate, reunited with the legendary broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, 98, to watch the new documentary exploring the oceans’ vital role in fighting climate change.

Before the screening, Charles and Sir David were seen chatting warmly. The King expressed his delight at seeing the presenter again and asked about his upcoming 99th birthday, which falls on the documentary’s release date, May 8.
Sir David’s narration in the film emphasizes the critical state of the oceans, calling them humanity’s best hope against climate change while warning of their deteriorating health.
As patron of the Marine Biological Association, Charles has been promoting ocean conservation for over 50 years.

He first publicly addressed ocean pollution back in 1970 as the Prince of Wales. His dedication continues today, shared by other royals like Princess Eugenie, who promoted the film on social media.
The premiere attracted numerous celebrities, including Geri Halliwell-Horner, Ayda Field, Cara and Poppy Delevingne, Penny Lancaster, Sofia Wellesley, James Blunt, and Felicity Jones.
Attendees walked a symbolic blue carpet in support of the film’s message.

Toby Nowlan, the film’s producer, called it Sir David’s “most important story,” aligning with international environmental efforts as the world nears the UN Oceans Conference in June. The documentary opens in cinemas May 8.
