Jhené Aiko recently returned to the ruins of her home for the first time since it was destroyed by the Pacific Palisades Fire in January.
The 37-year-old singer shared emotional images on Instagram showing what’s left of her property — burnt cars, scorched earth, and a few surviving Buddha statues standing among the ashes.

In one caption, she wrote, “Finally saw it for myself… 3 months later.” In another, she added, “Sometimes a sigh is not enough… you gotta scream.”
Aiko encouraged others who’ve suffered similar losses to allow themselves to feel the grief fully, writing, “You absolutely MUST cry about it… as often as the feeling comes.”
The singer first revealed on January 9 that her house had burned down with all their belongings inside, saying she was grateful that she, her 2-year-old son Noah (with partner Big Sean), and 16-year-old daughter Namiko were unharmed.

She shared that a neighbor had sent her a photo of her house engulfed in flames while she was away. Despite the devastation, Aiko remains focused on rebuilding and staying strong for her family.
Her partner Big Sean also recently opened up about supporting her through the emotional pain of both the fire and a miscarriage.
The Pacific Palisades Fire claimed dozens of lives and destroyed thousands of homes, including Aiko’s. While the loss is unimaginable, Aiko’s openness offers strength to others facing similar heartbreak.

She’s starting over — with resilience, love, and hope.
