Heidi Klum Defies Cannes’ Strict New Red Carpet Rule in Daring Gown… Photos Here!

Heidi Klum turned heads at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony — not just for her stunning outfit, but for breaking the event’s brand-new dress code.

The 51-year-old supermodel wore a voluminous light pink floral gown by Elie Saab featuring a sweeping floor-length train. While undeniably glamorous, the dramatic silhouette directly defied a recent festival rule banning oversized dresses that could disrupt guest movement or seating.

According to the updated Cannes regulations, “Voluminous outfits, particularly those with large trains, that hinder the proper flow of traffic and complicate theater seating are not permitted.”

But that didn’t stop Klum from making a bold fashion statement as she posed on the red carpet, pairing the eye-catching dress with metallic heels and sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Interestingly, despite her history of daring looks, Klum complied with another part of the dress code — one that prohibits nudity on the red carpet.

This change was also enforced on actress Halle Berry, who revealed she had to abandon her original Gaurav Gupta gown because its train was too large. “I had to make a pivot,” Berry said at a press event, adding that she supported the no-nudity rule.

Berry ultimately wore a striped Jacquemus dress with pink ruffle detailing that stayed within the guidelines. The festival organizers emphasized that anyone who fails to follow these new rules may be denied red carpet access, signaling a stricter enforcement moving forward.

Even Bella Hadid showed restraint this year, arriving in a modest Saint Laurent gown with only a hint of skin.
