The child received a dream vacation despite being frightened to spend his birthday alone. He was congratulated by Ryan Reynolds, after all.
A Canadian student was concerned that no one would remember his birthday, but his worries were unfounded.
People showered the boy with gifts as a result of the boy’s parents posting about their dread of their son online. The biggest surprise, though, came from Ryan Reynolds because it’s uncommon for fans to receive good wishes from their idol.
Canadian nine-year-old Damien Smith was concerned that he wouldn’t receive any birthday greetings or gifts, but because to the kindness of his parents and online strangers, he was given a surprise that most people can only imagine. Knowing about their son’s anxieties, the boy’s parents made the decision to post a request for assistance on Facebook.
They set up a dedicated account for Damien’s birthday project a month beforehand, inviting others to send cards to the student.
The plan was a smashing success since the family had a ton of letters and gift boxes by the end of October. The mother of the boy posted a picture of them on a Facebook for Damien.
But Ryan Reynolds gave the most amazing surprise. The actor learned that Damien is a fan after kind people descended on his social media accounts, and he sent the boy’s parents a video congratulating them.
The mother of the teenager said that although the student requested to remain anonymous, Deadpool’s film arrived one month before his birthday.
Then on November 23, the day of his birthday, Damien got over a thousand birthday greetings from around the world, including cards, packages, and gifts. But Ryan Reynolds’ prepared video was the show’s high point.
Damien cried and gave his mother a big embrace after reading his hero’s note. The boy’s response to the surprise was also captured on camera, and the parents posted the clip online on November 24.
